Both Ileana Moro and Laura Pasquino share a profound exploration of the human experience through their art. Their artworks delve into the depths of emotion and meaning, evoking intimate experiences and inviting viewers to reflect on their own inner worlds and emotional landscapes. "Embers and Shapes" is an intriguing collaboration that reveals the ways in which different artistic mediums intersect and complement each other.

Ileana Moro, hailing from Costa Rica and currently residing in Antwerp, Belgium, is a self-taught painter known for capturing the essence of human emotion through dark tones and layered surfaces. Her artworks strike a delicate balance between melancholy and hopeful romanticism, creating a surreal yet minimalist atmosphere that resonates with viewers on a profound level. Through her mastery of oil painting, Ileana's works convey a sense of connection between the outer and inner worlds, while exploring the symbolism of oval forms as representations of unseen identities and the interconnectedness of all things.

Laura Pasquino, a ceramic artist based in Amsterdam, channels her artistic expression through the textures and organic nuances of clay. Having honed her skills in Japan and Portugal, her minimalist sculptures celebrate the imperfections and inherent beauty found in simplicity. With a focus on spherical forms inspired by the forces and formations of the natural world, Laura's works embody the versatility and tactile nature of clay, evoking a sense of balance and harmony.

The "Embers and Shapes" exhibition will take place in a stunning barn nestled in the idyllic town of Lubbeek, Belgium. The venue, owned by a passionate couple of entrepreneurs with a deep passion for architecture and interior design, showcases their authentic taste and vision through the extensive use of antique materials such as wooden beams and traditional stonework. This picturesque setting enhances the captivating artworks of both artists, providing a serene backdrop that harmonizes with the organic beauty and rawness of the artists' creations.

From June 22nd to July 2nd, The Grège Gallery invites art enthusiasts to witness the unique blend that emerges from the ongoing creativity of these two talented female artists. "Embers and Shapes" is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the mesmerizing world of Ileana Moro and Laura Pasquino, as they invite us to explore the profound depths of human emotion and the purity of form.
