Léa Fabre-Fiorio

Léa is a ceramic artist based in Brussels.

Her practice can be described as an instinctive and sensitive experimentation with clay resulting in organic sculptures. She explores the notions of strength and fragility in her work, her pieces embodying this duality.

The wild landscapes of southern Spain where her family lives, are a deep inspiration, especially the Cabo de Gata natural reserve where the elements have been untouched by man and where the forces of those elements are raw, strong and powerful. Like nature, the human body is a constant source of inspiration to nourish her creative language with shapes, colors and movements.
