This lobi stool has been carved from a single piece of wood like often in african furniture and has a beautiful patina due to age and wear. Stools in African culture were very personal items that were generally passed down from generation to generation. Seats traditionally mark the social rank of its owner and are not to be lent under any circumstances. They are mostly carved out of shea wood.
